Those Controversial Teachings on Sex

“I’m Catholic, but I don’t agree with all the teachings of the Church.”

Most churchgoing Catholics have heard this expression at one point or another, if they haven’t said it themselves.  More often than not, “the teachings” they are talking about have to do with sexuality - either directly (sex outside of marriage, contraception, homosexuality) or indirectly (an all-male celibate priesthood).

This presentation will help us to see that the Church’s teachings on sexuality are not at all arbitrary rules, but are logically coherent and Scriptural.  Drawing from the Bible and from the “Theology of the Body” of Saint John Paul II, Father Sakowski will help make sense of what the Church has to say about love, sex, marriage, fornication, adultery, contraception, masturbation, homosexuality, and other related issues.
